Summation: small, musty room across from the beach (no view). If it ever was, it certainly is no longer a comfy B and B.
Updated, well-kept facility with daily cleaning if needed. Very comfortable rooms, clean, modern kitchen. Highly recommended!
This is more of a youth hostel.
My chief complaints are:
No reception, minimal furniture in the room, sticky bathroom floor and clogged sink and toilet.
Shower and accessories didn't work properly. Bed and pillows good. Pretty run down.
1. Check in/check out times are not convenient (4pm and 10am)
It would be nice if there was a breakfast of any sort but this is a sterile company owned property where there is zero visible staff.
3. The pillows are torture.
2. Our room has a musty smell (the scattered moth balls under the bed aren't quite doing the job).
This is not a hotel.
We loved our stay at Nags Head Beach Inn. Sadly, it was just a weekend. It was a very well appoointed cottage; clean, nicely decorated and stocked with all the kitchen needs we would require. It was really cozy and welcoming and we would love to return for a week or two. Great location! Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the privacy vs. that of a hotel or motel.
