As we were eating, one of our friends at the table starts rubbing his arm and come to find out, a colony of ants was coming through a crack in the crown molding near the window and a couple had made their way under his shirt sleeve. We asked for a manager immediately. They were super polite about it and we ended up taking a majority of our food home. The manager comped the bill. I woke up early this morning feeling nauseous and I'm pretty sure I have food poisoning. Not how I wanted to spend a day of my vacation but I will never go back to this location again.
Awesome outback! St3aks are always juicy and done the way you want! Great service!
Not usually our favorite steakhouse to go to, but after our many experiences with OBX eateries it's one of the better places we have been. The service was very good and attentive. The food all came quickly, which has been one of the big complaints from the other reviews we had read. But the big reason I took one star is because the steaks we ordered all came out very over cooked. We do not normally complain about this when it happens, and see a steak go in the trash, this time was no exception. But if your going to pay nearly $30 for a steak, I think they should have a cook that can properly cook it. Overall not a bad experience, but will probably not get a steak if we decide to visit again.
My friends and I went there last night and we did not have a good experience. The waitress was super sweet but I feel like she wasn't trained properly. She took forever to get drinks and appetizers out, took forever to bring bread, forgot straws 3 or 4 times, etc. She was doing her best but needed some improvements. Once we finally got our food, it was slightly cold and you could tell it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a little while.
The server couldn't understand why I wanted another bun. It was burnt and hard as a rock. When she brought me another bun, the burger was really good. It should have never left the kitchen and been served to a customer looking like it did. My daughter ordered the sirlion from the child's menu. It had enough seasoning on it for 10 steaks. She said it was too spicy to eat, so I tasted it. It was too spicy for most adults, much less a child. When I said something to the server, she informed me that it was the same seasoning they put on all of their steaks. She didn't offer to get my daughter something else to eat. My Mom's food was good. Fortunately she was gracious enough to share with my daughter so that she had something to eat other than bread and french fries. We don't live near an Outback, so this was supposed to be a treat. The service was very much lacking. Disappointing!
Waitress was awesome but the kitchen was not. Waited 15 minutes just to be told that what my husband ordered wasn't available, then another 25-30 for our meals to be delivered to the table. His tilapia was very dry, so I have to assume it was put under heat lamps while they cooked my (medium rare) steak. Cheese fries were lukewarm at best, and shrimp /lobster bites came without sauce. Would have been nice to see the manager walking the floor checking on tables or delivering late meals, but I assume (hope) he was helping the kitchen. Overall mediocre for this chain, but still not a horrible experience.
