Absolutely one of the worse dining experiences on The Outer Banks in over 20 years and we have dined at this restaurants multiple times. We came in on a very quiet Saturday evening and was greeted by the most rude, toxic and annoyed hostess. Once she asked how many were in our party (2), she asked if we wanted a sunset view or to sit in main dining room, we chose the sunset view in the bar area. She proceeded to seat us in the middle of the bar area (which was completely empty with loud, heavy music playing) we asked if we could move to a closer table by a window, this annoyed her greatly. Once we we were seated, two waiters and a member of the bar staff visibly and audibly argued within earshot about who was going to wait our table (there were four waiters hanging around the bar on their phones while this was going on too) this went on for a good 5 minutes before another waiter, who was obviously annoyed at his co-workers said he would take our table and proceeded to come and greet us and take our drink order. At this time another couple had been seated adjacent to us and were now also receiving the excellent treatment we were getting also, so at least we didn't feel alone in our mistreatment. You could cut the tension between the workers with a knife and it made for and extremely awkward dining experience, so we chose to cut our time short by leaving after receiving and paying for our drink order. I will say that the waiter that tended to us was very nice and understanding and very obviously stressed out and we felt bad cutting him short, but the overall experience was a nightmare and my wife and I didn't see a point in being miserable while also paying for the experience. I have never wrote a negative review of any establishment before on any of a travels, but this one had to be done, mainly because we gave this restaurant the benefit of the doubt from a previous visit back in July which was almost as bad due to waiting over 20 minutes for someone to get our drink order, but fortunately was salvaged by an excellent waiter who realized what was going on. This is one of those experiences that will forever keep us from coming back to this restaurant and a customer shouldn't feel like they're a burden or annoyance to the waitstaff.. I could even understand their issues if we were making demands or had a large party or the restaurant was extremely busy but the place was dead and we weren't even given the chance to be properly waited on and there was/is definitely some inner personnel issues going on amongst employees, which may explain why this place wasn't busy compared to other restaurant that evening. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT.
Our server was particularly attentive, seating us where we were most comfortable and insuring to the details of our food selection and dining.
My family and I fell in love with Pamlico Jack's a few years ago. We now make sure to visit at least once during our yearly vacation on the Outer Banks. The food is always prepared wonderfully. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed with a nicely fancy edge. And the staff is attentive and very personable. We've never been disappointed. Can't wait until next year to come back again!
We were early for dinner, but they offered us a great location on the deck to enjoy cocktails until the kitchen opened. The sangria was very nice. The view is wonderful. The ambiance in general was great. Once we received dinner, we were very pleased. Speed was great that early in the evening. The staff was responsive and friendly. Great place for friends to enjoy drinks and a view.
Absolutely AMAZING service. I honestly have not been to a restaurant with this top notch of service in a long time. The food here was amazing and top tier as well. If this is not on your stop of restaurants when you are in Nags head then you have missed an amazing meal.
Enjoyed our first meal on Ocracoke at this fine restaurant. The water view is lovely, particularly for a stunning sunset.
The food was excellent, in both eye appeal and taste. The atmosphere has definite romantic charm, yet suitable for families and groups of any size. We appreciated this dining experience very much.
